The anglers are transferred on board Marine Rescue NSW vessel ShoalhavenVolunteer crews from Marine Rescue Shoalhaven and Marine Rescue Jervis Bay worked together to assist two anglers after their vessel capsized off Currarong at the Banks near Jervis Bay.
The men were thrown into the water when their runabout was swamped by a series of larger waves and overturned on Tuesday.
Thankfully, another vessel nearby saw what had happened and quickly came to their aid, pulling both anglers safely from the water.
Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Stuart Massey said rescue vessels Jervis Bay 41 and Shoalhaven 30 were deployed to the incident.

“Our crews carried out welfare checks on the anglers and transferred them safely onto the rescue vessel,” Inspector Massey said.
“The capsized boat was also secured, as it posed a navigational hazard, at the request of NSW Police Marine Area Command.”
The anglers were uninjured and returned safely to shore, where they expressed their gratitude to the recreational boaters who first stopped to help, as well as to the Marine Rescue volunteers who ensured everyone made it home safely.
Marine Rescue NSW is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit professional organisation, and its volunteers are proud to look out for their local boating community and be there when they’re needed most.
