As voting day approaches in the Kiama by-election this Saturday, 13 candidates from diverse backgrounds are vying to represent our community. Here's a snapshot of who’s on the ballot - plus how you can let us know your preference in our poll.

Below is the list of confirmed candidates, in ballot paper order, with a short profile to help you keep track:
Tonia Gray (Greens)
Education professor and former Shoalhaven councillor, ran in 2023; championing climate justice and public services.
Serena Copley (Liberal Party)
Former Shoalhaven City Councillor, active in the community, pushing to reclaim the seat for the Liberals.
Andrew Thaler (Independent)
Self-employed businessman, Snowy Monaro Regional councillor, broadcaster - frequent candidate.
Roger Woodward (Independent)
Financial counsellor and candidate in previous federal elections for other seats.
Don Fuggle (Legalise Cannabis Party)
Legalisation activist campaigning under the Legalise Cannabis banner.
Ken Davis (Sustainable Australia Party)
Mental health professional concerned with sustainable development and anti-overdevelopment.
Lisa Cotton (Independent)
Community advocate running independently.
Cyrille Jeufo Keuheu (Independent)
IT developer standing as an independent.
Felix Nelson (Shooters, Fishers and Farmers)
Army veteran and land manager representing the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party.
Joshua Beer (Libertarian Party)
Former Liberal candidate for Lake Macquarie in 2023, now running for the Libertarian Party.
Ellie Robertson (Animal Justice Party)
Perennial candidate focusing on animal welfare and justice.
Kate Dezarnaulds (Independent)
Berry-based businesswoman and community advocate, previously ran in Gilmore as a federal independent.
Katelin McInerney (Labor Party)
Former journalist and union advocate, narrowly missed winning in 2023; focused on infrastructure, services, and strong local representation.
