A 28-year-old truck driver is lucky to be alive after his vehicle veered off Moss Vale Road at Barrengarry on Tuesday morning.
About 10am, emergency services were called following reports of a crash near Mannings Gully and South Coast Police District officers found a Pantech truck had left the roadway and crashed down an embankment.
The driver – and sole occupant – was trapped in the cabin before he was released by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
He was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his ribs and taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Moss Vale Road remains closed on Tuesday afternoon.
