Residents urged to make the most of new Planning HubCameron McDonald.

Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald is encouraging residents to have their say at Council's new dedicated Planning and Development Hub at the Old Bank Building on Manning Street.

The Hub will be open to the public from Monday (7 July).

“We're excited to offer this new and dedicated service to our community,” Councillor McDonald said.

The Planning Hub will offer a duty planner service from 9-11am daily which will complement Council’s existing Development Advice services.

Community members can make appointments with Council planners for advice and guidance outside of these hours.

Residents can still call, email or come into the main Administration Centre at 11 Manning Street and speak with Customer Service Team members, who can also put them in touch with Council’s Planners.

“Planning and the various development application process are a key component of Council’s business and one that our community has the greatest interaction with,” Cr McDonald added.

“Our passionate staff are here to help with any planning, development, or other Council-related enquiry you may have.”

Cr McDonald is also encouraging community members to visit Counci’s website which explains the DA process, has a link to its Application Tracker, as well as other information about planning matters.
