At approximately 9:30 pm on August 25, police were called to the intersection of Terralong Street and Collins Stree,t following reports of an incident.

Lake Illawarra Police District officers attended the scene to find a group of males allegedly trying to move a 21-year-old male on, following a verbal altercation.

In a statement, police confirmed they were told that a 45-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were sitting on a bench seat when they were approached by the 21-year-old male.

The male allegedly spoke to the pair, then picked up the woman’s glasses and broke them.

The officers at the scene issued the male with a move on order for being intoxicated and disorderly in a public place.
