Missing hiker located after four-day search on South CoastChristopher Moore.

Police have thanked the public for their help after a missing man in bushland on the South Coast was located on Monday.


Christopher Moore, aged 38, was last seen on Twelve Mile Road, Jerrawangala, about 32km south of Nowra, about 10.30am on Wednesday (25 June), when he was dropped off for a camping trip.


He was due to be picked up at the same location on Friday (27 June 2025), and when he did not arrive, officers attached to the South Coast Police District were notified and started inquiries into his whereabouts.



Police and family had held concerns for his welfare.


Search efforts continued in bushland around the Jerrawangala or Wandandian areas over the weekend, coordinated by NSW Police Rescue Squad, with assistance from local police, Polair, SES, and NSW Rural Fire Service.


The search resumed about 8.30am on Monday morning and around 11.50am, the man was located in thick shrub off Twelve Mile Road and was walked out by emergency services to safety.



NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed his condition and he was not injured.


He was taken to Shoalhaven Base Hospital for monitoring.
