Police have thanked the public for their assistance after locating a woman who was missing from Albion Park.

The woman, aged 20, was last seen on Gloucester Crescent, Albion Park, around 2.30pm on Wednesday.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and started inquiries into her whereabouts.

She was located on Thursday.
