Emergency services respond to water incident at Kiama Blowhole

Shortly before 11 a.m. today 19 January, emergency services responded to an incident at the Kiama Blowhole where a person had entered the water.



Three helicopters were seen overhead, assisting with the search, while a jetski was observed moving along the coastline toward Surf Beach


Paramedics and police were on site as the search continued.


A large number of observers were present; some stopped to observe, while others kept moving, capturing images or videos on their phones.




Authorities are treating the situation as serious and potentially life-threatening.
