Kiama Council has confirmed its Post Office Box was compromised sometime between 9:30am on Monday and 9am on Tuesday earlier this week.
This means mail sent during that period may not have made it to the right hands.
Because the affected items were still in transit and hadn’t yet been received or registered, Council says it’s unable to confirm what may have been impacted.
Anyone who has recently posted mail is urged to check that it arrived safely by contacting Customer Service or the intended recipient.
