Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Albion Park.

Shaeleigh Waters, aged 20, was last seen on Gloucester Crescent, Albion Park, around 2.30pm on Wednesday.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and started inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for her welfare as Shaeleigh has an intellectual disability.

Shaeleigh is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of thin build, with long blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a red jumper and white trousers.

Shaeleigh is known to frequent the Albion Park area.
