Berry will come alive with jazz and blues across the village on Thursday March 19 and Sunday March 22, as local venues collaborate to create a town-wide live music atmosphere for the next instalment of the A Day Well Spent series.
The program forms part of Extend the Weekend, a NSW Government-supported initiative designed to encourage visitors to stay longer and experience Berry beyond the traditional day trip.
The opening weekend in February exceeded expectations, with venues reporting crowds well above normal and audiences surprised by the calibre of musicians performing across the town.
The March program will feature International Blues Challenge winner Frank Sultana Blues Band (previously lived in Kiama), alongside South Coast favourites Tall Shaun & The Resolution, regional blues act Jr & The Jewel Tones, and a contemporary jazz lineup including Blue Mallee, Ella’s Holiday, Freyja Garbett and acclaimed Sydney guitarist Jeremy Sawkins.
What makes the series unique is the way venues across Berry are collaborating to create a shared village atmosphere, with music spread across multiple locations and audiences moving between venues throughout the evening.
