Take the fear out of rose pruning!
Few garden tasks strike more fear into gardeners than the thought of pruning. Many are put off by the mass of stems and foliage our rose bushes have become each July . For many it is a daunting task that confronts them.
It need not be so! By following a few simple rules roses are easily shaped and trimmed resulting in a great display giving your roses the best start in Spring.
This will be explained and demonstrated at Peace Park, Manning Street Kiama, Sunday July 13 when the Friends of Peace Park hold their annual Rose pruning day.
Peace Park Coordinator, Colin Hollis, is urging anyone interested to come to the park from 9:30 am. The event is free and people are welcome to come and go as they please.
People who wish to attend are kindly urged to bring their own equipment.
